The New Mexico State Aggies and the Fresno State Bulldogs have scheduled a home-and-home football series for 2019 and 2020, FBSchedules.com has learned.
A copy of the game contract was obtained from New Mexico State University by FBSchedules.com via a state public records request.
In the first game of the series, New Mexico State will host Fresno State at Aggie Memorial Stadium in Las Cruces on Sept. 28, 2019. The Aggies will then travel to face the Bulldogs at Bulldog Stadium in Fresno, California on Oct. 17, 2020.
Fresno State and New Mexico State have met 18 times on the gridiron and the Bulldogs lead the overall series 17-1. NMSU’s lone win came in the most recent meeting in the series, 48-45 in Las Cruces in 2011.
New Mexico State, which will begin competing as an FBS Independent in this season, now has 10 games scheduled for the 2019 season and five games for the 2020 season.
The addition of NMSU tentatively completes Fresno State’s non-conference schedule in 2019. The Bulldogs are scheduled to open the season at USC (Aug. 31) and host Minnesota (Sept. 7) and Sacramento State (Sept. 21) before traveling to New Mexico State.
In 2020, Fresno State is scheduled to play at Colorado on Sept. 12 and at Texas A&M on Sept. 26.
