The Montana State Bobcats have announced their 2027 football schedule, which features seven home games at Bobcat Stadium and a neutral-site showdown.
The Bobcats open the season on August 28 at home against Idaho State, marking the beginning of conference play in Week 1.
Montana State’s non-conference schedule features a marquee neutral-site matchup against North Dakota State at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, with the game scheduled for Sept. 2-4. The contest pairs the Bobcats against one of the most accomplished programs in college football, as Montana State faces a North Dakota State team competing in its first season at the FBS level following its transition from the Football Championship Subdivision.
The Bobcats return home the following week to host Drake on September 11 before welcoming Tennessee Tech to Bobcat Stadium on September 18.
Following an open date on September 25, Montana State resumes Big Sky play on October 2 with a road trip to UC Davis. The Bobcats return to Bozeman on October 9 to host Portland State before traveling to Cal Poly on October 16. Montana State then plays consecutive home conference games against Utah Tech on October 23 and Idaho on October 30.
The Bobcats open the final month of the regular season with a road contest at Southern Utah on November 6 before returning home on November 13 to face Northern Colorado. The 2027 campaign concludes on November 20 with the latest edition of the Brawl of the Wild, as Montana State travels to Missoula to face rival Montana in one of the most celebrated rivalries in the FCS.

Montana State is 7-1 overall and 4-0 in Big Sky action with four games remaining this season. The Bobcats won the national championship last season, topping Illinois State 35-34 in Nashville.
