The Missouri Tigers and the San Diego State Aztecs have scheduled a four-game, home-and-home football series, both schools announced on Friday.

In the first game of the series, Missouri will travel to take on San Diego State on Sept. 11, 2027. The Tigers will host the Aztecs the following season at Faurot Field in Columbia on Sept. 2, 2028.

The series will take a two-year break before resuming at Faurot Field on Sept. 20, 2031. Missouri will travel to take on San Diego State to close out the four-game series on Oct. 2, 2032.

Missouri and San Diego State first met on the gridiron in 1979 and have played three times overall. The Tigers won the most recent meeting, 27-24, in Columbia and currently lead the series 3-0.

San Diego State is the second scheduled non-conference opponent for Missouri for both the 2027 and 2028 seasons and first for 2031 and 2032. Mizzou has a series scheduled with Illinois on Sept. 18, 2027 at home and Sept. 16, 2028 on the road.

The Aztecs now have three non-conference games scheduled in 2027 and two in 2028. San Diego State is slated to play at both Eastern Michigan (Sept. 3) and Arizona State (Sept. 18) in 2027 and will host Arizona State in 2028 (Sept. 9).

Missouri is the first announced non-conference opponent for San Diego State in 2031 and 2032.

Missouri is scheduled to open the 2019 season on Saturday, Aug. 31 at the Wyoming Cowboys. San Diego State opens the season on the same day at home against the Weber State Wildcats.
