The Mississippi State Bulldogs have added the Chattanooga Mocs to their 2033 football schedule, according to MSU’s official athletics website.
Mississippi State will host Chattanooga at Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville, Miss., on August 27, 2033. The game will mark the sixth meeting between the two schools on the gridiron.
Mississippi State and Chattanooga first played in 1909 and last squared off in 1947. The Bulldogs defeated the Mocs in all four contests, winning by a combined score of 130-13.
Chattanooga is a member of the Southern Conference (SoCon) in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). The Mocs are entering their eighth season under head coach Rusty Wright, who holds a 42-34 overall record at the school with one FCS Playoff appearance (2023).
Chattanooga is also scheduled to play at Mississippi State in 2027, which was previously announced. The Bulldogs will pay the Mocs a $550,000 guarantee for the contest, which is slated for October 9.
Mississippi State now has five future games scheduled against FCS opponents — Tennessee Tech (2026), Chattanooga (2027, 2033), North Alabama (2028), and West Georgia (2029).
The Bulldogs become the eighth FBS contest on Chattanooga’s future schedules. The Mocs are also scheduled to visit Alabama in 2026, Tennessee in 2028 and 2029, Georgia Southern in 2030, San Jose State in 2031, and Middle Tennessee in 2032.
