The Miami (FL) Hurricanes and the UCF Knights have added the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats to their future football schedules, the News-JournalOnline has reported.
Bethune-Cookman University (also known as B-CU) is a private historically black college located in Daytona Beach, Florida. The Wildcats are a member of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in the Football Championship Subdivision.
Miami will host Bethune-Cookman at Sun Life Stadium in Coral Gables on October 1, 2011 and again on October 13, 2012. In 2011, the Hurricanes also face a non-conference slate of Kansas State, Ohio State and at USF. In 2012, Miami hosts USF, travels to Kansas State and will likely face Notre Dame in Chicago.
UCF hosts Bethune-Cookman at Bright House Networks Stadium in Orlando on September 21, 2013. The Knights also host Florida International and South Carolina in 2013.
Miami and Bethune-Cookman have never met in football. UCF and B-CU have played 15 times since 1981. The Knights lead the overall series 10-5.
