Memphis announces 2011 football schedule

The Memphis Tigers have announced their 2011 football schedule, which features games against Middle Tennessee, Mississippi State, East Carolina, Marshall, SMU and UCF.

Memphis begins 2011 with three straight non-conference games. The Tigers host Mississippi State on September 3, travel to Arkansas State on September 10 and then host Austin Peay on September 17. Their final non-conference game is October 1 at Middle Tennessee.

Conference USA play begins on September 24 at home against the SMU Mustangs. The remainder of Memphis’ conference schedule includes at Rice (10/08), East Carolina (10/15), at Tulane (10/22), at UCF (10/29), UAB (11/12), Marshall (11/19) and at Southern Miss (11/26).

The Conference USA Championship Game will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011 and will be hosted by the team with the highest winning percentage in conference play.
