The Marshall Thundering Herd have added the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders and two Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) opponents to their future football schedules, the Huntington (W.Va.) Herald-Dispatch reported.
Marshall will square off with former Conference USA foe Middle Tennessee in the 2026 season. Marshall, who departed Conference USA for the Sun Belt Conference, has taken four of the nine all-time matchups between the squads. The schools have split the last six meetings, with the Thundering Herd bringing home their most recent victory in a 42-14 decision in Huntington on Nov. 14, 2020.
Central Connecticut State of the Northeast Conference (NEC) will visit Huntington during the 2023 campaign. The game will mark the first-ever meeting between the two schools on the gridiron.
The Blue Devils went 4-7 (4-3 NEC) under third-year head coach Ryan McCarthy last season. CCSU fell to Miami (Fla.), 69-0, in their lone FBS tilt last season.
The Stony Brook Seawolves will visit Joan C. Edwards Stadium in 2024. This will also be a first-time matchup. The Seawolves, who play in the Colonial Athletic Association, wound down the 2021 campaign with a 5-6 record (4-4 CAA) under coach Chuck Priore, including a 48-7 loss at Oregon. Priore is entering his 17th season at the helm.
Dates and times for these games will be announced at a later time.
