There was very little movement in the Week 5 college football polls that were released today after the top 18 teams in the AP Poll and the top 17 teams in the Coaches Poll all won their games.
In the AP Poll, 1-14 remained the same. Michigan, who was ranked 15th last week, fell to 18th after slipping by UConn 24-21. As a result, Miami (FL), Washington, and Northwestern each moved up one spot to 15, 16, and 17, respectively.
Arizona State, which lost at Stanford 42-28, fell out of both the AP Poll and the Coaches Poll. Michigan State also fell out of the Coaches Poll after falling at Notre Dame 17-13.
Alabama (3-0, 1-0) has 56 of the 60 first place votes in the AP Poll and 59 of the 62 first place votes in the Coaches Poll. Oregon (3-0, 0-0) gained 3 first-place votes in the AP Poll and two in the Coaches. The second-ranked Ducks now have a total of four in the AP and three in the Coaches.
The Top 13 of the Coaches Poll also remained the same. Michigan fell from 14th to 17th, which allowed UCLA (14), and Miami, FL (15) to move up.
The only other significant change was that LSU jumped over Louisville to claim the sixth spot in the Coaches Poll. The Tigers are now ranked sixth in both polls.
Fresno State (3-0, 1-0), which beat Boise State 41-40, moved into the AP Poll at 25th and moved up two spots to 23rd in the Coaches Poll. Wisconsin (24) and Texas Tech (25) also entered the Coaches Poll.
