The Liberty Flames have completed their 2023 non-conference football schedule, the school announced Thursday.
The schedule required adjustment due to Liberty’s move to Conference USA, which will take place beginning with the 2023 campaign.
The Flames will open the slate with a tilt against Bowling Green at Williams Stadium in Lynchburg, Va., on Saturday, Sept. 2. Liberty will hit the road to Buffalo for an outing two weeks later on Saturday, Sept. 16. Old Dominion, who is joining the Sun Belt Conference, travels across the Commonwealth two weeks afterward, visiting Lynchburg on Saturday, Sept. 30. A Nov. 18 home battle with UMass finalizes the Flames’ non-league grouping.
Below is a look at Liberty’s four-game non-conference football schedule for the 2023 season:
- 09/02 – Bowling Green
- 09/16 – at Buffalo
- 09/30 – Old Dominion
- 11/18 – UMass
According to ASeaofRed, Liberty will play Louisiana Tech, Florida International, Western Kentucky, Middle Tennessee, UTEP, New Mexico State, Jacksonville State, and Sam Houston in conference matchups next season.
