The Houston Cougars announced several future football schedule additions and changes on Thursday, including new home-and-home series with BYU and Boise State.
Houston will travel to take on BYU at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo on Oct. 17, 2020 and will host the Cougars at TDECU Stadium on Oct. 7, 2023.
Boise State will travel to take on Houston on Sept. 4, 2021. Three years later, the Cougars will trek to Boise, Idaho to take on the Broncos at Albertson’s Stadium on Sept. 7, 2024.
Houston also announced today that three future football games have changed dates. The Cougars’ home game against North Texas on Sept. 23, 2023 has been moved up to Sept. 26, 2020.
A previously scheduled home-and-home series with Georgia Southern initially set for 2020-21 has been pushed back to Sept. 26, 2026 in Statesboro, Georgia and Sept. 18, 2027 in Houston.
Houston also announced today that they have added a home game against Texas Southern for Sept. 29, 2018. That game tentatively completes UH’s non-conference schedule for that season.
Other games scheduled for Houston in 2018 include at Rice on Sept. 1, vs. Arizona on Sept. 8, and at Texas Tech on Sept. 15.
Not mentioned in today’s release but reflected on UH’s official website is the addition of two more games with Rice: at home on Sept. 24, 2022 and at Rice on Sept. 9, 2023.
Also, Houston appears to have switched dates in 2022-24 with UTSA. Houston will now travel to UTSA on Sept. 3, 2022, host the Roadrunners on Sept. 2, 2023, and travel again to UTSA on Aug. 31, 2024.
