The Georgetown Hoyas have announced their 2019 football schedule, which includes five home contests.

“Our players and staff are very excited about our 2019 schedule,” Georgetown Head Coach Rob Sgarlata said. “Our out-of-conference schedule will present a great challenge, including starting the year on the road as we face Davidson who features one of the top overall offenses in the country. We are looking forward to playing two Ivy League opponents, Cornell and Columbia, both in New York in front of the Hoya football family. I am confident that our first five games will prepare us for our Patriot League schedule. Currently, our players are completing the first phase of our off season training and are looking forward to improving every day during our spring practice schedule as we prepare for the 2019 journey.”

Georgetown will open the 2019 season with five consecutive non-conference contests, beginning on Saturday, Aug. 31 at the Davidson Wildcats. This matchup was previously unknown.

The Hoyas will then host back-to-back contests at Cooper Field in Washington, DC. The Marist Red Foxes visit on Sept. 7, followed by the Catholic Cardinals, a Division III team, on Sept. 14. Catholic-Georgetown is also a newly announced contest.

After an open date, Georgetown travels for consecutive road contests at Ivy League opponents. The Hoyas visit the Columbia Lions on Sept. 28 and the Cornell Big Red on Oct. 5.

Georgetown opens Patriot League play with back-to-back games at Cooper Field, first against the Fordham Rams on Oct. 12 for Homecoming. The Lafayette Leopards visit the Washington, DC the following week on Oct. 19.

The Hoyas then travel to play the Lehigh Mountain Hawks on Oct. 26 before returning home to host the Colgate Raiders on Nov. 2.

After their second open date of the season, the Hoyas close out their 2019 schedule with consecutive road trips. Georgetown will visit the Bucknell Bison on Nov. 16, followed by the Holy Cross Crusaders on Nov. 23.
