The Furman Paladins have announced their 2020 football schedule, which includes five home contests.
Furman opens the 2020 season on Sept. 5 with a Southern Conference (SoCon) clash at home at Paladin Stadium in Greenville, S.C., against the Wofford Terriers.
The Paladins then play back-to-back non-conference contests on the road, beginning with the Charleston Southern Buccaneers on Sept. 12. One week later on Sept. 19, Furman travels to take on the Tennessee Volunteers.
A string of five consecutive SoCon contests for the Paladins begins with a Sept. 26 home game against the Western Carolina Catamounts. Furman visits the VMI Keydets on Oct. 3, hosts the Samford Bulldogs on Oct. 10, and then travels for back-to-back contests at the Mercer Bears on Oct. 17 and The Citadel Bulldogs on Oct. 24.
After their only open date of the season (Oct. 31), Furman welcomes the Presbyterian Blue Hose to Paladin Stadium for Homecoming on Nov. 7. This will also be Furman’s final non-conference contest of the season.
Furman closes out their 2020 football schedule with two SoCon contests. The Paladins host the Chattanooga Mocs on Nov. 14 and play at the East Tennessee State Buccaneers on Nov. 21.
The Paladins closed out the 2019 season with a 42-6 defeat at the Austin Peay Governors in the first round of the FCS Playoffs. Furman finished the season 8-5 overall and 6-2 in SoCon play.
