After their 17-6 win over then No. 17 Florida, the LSU Tigers have moved up four spots to No. 6 in the AP Poll and five spots to No. 7 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll for Week 8.
Florida State, which was idle this weekend, moved up one spot to 5th in both the AP and Coaches Polls.
Texas A&M climbed higher in the Top Ten after winning at Ole Miss. The Aggies moved up to 7th in both polls. Missouri made the biggest jump of all by virtue of their 41-26 upset win over then No. 7 Georgia. The Tigers moved up from 25th to 14th in the AP Poll and from unranked to 14th in the Coaches Poll.
Stanford, which lost at Utah, fell from 5th to 13th in both polls. Oklahoma lost to Texas in the Red River Shootout and fell six spots to 18th in the AP and eight spots to 18th in the Coaches.
Michigan (lost to Penn State in OT) fell out of the AP Poll and dropped to 24th in the Coaches Poll. Northwestern (lost at Wisconsin) fell out of both polls.
Teams entering the polls this week include Missouri (14 Coaches), Auburn (24 AP) and Wisconsin (25 AP).
