The Florida A&M Rattlers will play at the South Carolina State Bulldogs in 2031, FBSchedules.com has learned.
Florida A&M and South Carolina State played the first game of a home-and-home series on August 31, 2024 at Ken Riley Field at Bragg Memorial Stadium in Tallahassee, Fla. The Rattlers defeated the Bulldogs in that contest, 22-18.
The second and final game of the series was originally scheduled for September 13, 2025, but the game was not played.
According to a copy of an amendment to the football game agreement obtained from Florida A&M University via a state public records request, the Rattlers will now travel to face the Bulldogs at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium in Orangeburg, S.C., on September 13, 2031.
Florida A&M, a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), and South Carolina State, a member of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), have met 62 times on the gridiron in their history. The Rattlers have won four consecutive games dating back to 2019 and currently lead the overall series, 34-26-2.
Florida A&M and South Carolina State are next scheduled to meet in the 2026 Orange Blossom Classic at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla., on Sunday, Sept. 6. The game will be nationally televised by ESPN at 3:00pm ET.
