The Dayton Flyers have released their 2019 football schedule, which features five home games and 11 contests overall.
Dayton will open the 2019 season with back-to-back non-conference games on the road, beginning with a contest at the Indiana State Sycamores on Sept. 7. The Flyers then visit the Robert Morris Colonials on Sept. 14.
Dayton opens up their home schedule at Welcome Stadium in Dayton, Ohio, on Sept. 21 against the Duquesne Dukes. After an open date, the Jacksonville Dolphins visit on Oct. 5 to kick off Pioneer Football League action.
Consecutive road games are up next for the Flyers as they visit the Valparaiso Crusaders on Oct. 12 and the Stetson Hatters on Oct. 19.
The remaining five games on Dayton’s 2019 schedule rotate home and away — vs. San Diego (Oct. 26), at Morehead State (Nov. 2), vs. Marist (Nov. 9), at Drake (Nov. 16), and vs. Butler (Nov. 23).
Dayton finished the 2019 season 6-5 overall and 5-3 in conference play. The Flyers’ most recent PFL championships came back in consecutive seasons in 2009 and 2010.
