College Football Playoff rankings for Oct. 30 released

The first College Football Playoff Rankings of the 2018 season have been released by the selection committee, and Alabama opens in first place.

Alabama is followed by (2) Clemson, (3) LSU, and (4) Notre Dame. Just outside the top four are (5) Michigan, (6) Georgia, (7) Oklahoma, and (8) Washington State.

UCF (12th) is currently the highest ranked team from a Group of Five conference. Check out the full CFP Top 25 rankings below.

The College Football Playoff Selection Committee will release their Top 25 rankings each week on Tuesday through Nov. 27.

On Sunday, Dec. 2, the College Football Playoff Selection Committee will announce the Playoff Semifinal pairings and semifinal bowl assignments. Those will be followed by the pairings for the remainder of the New Year’s Six bowl games.
