The Clemson Tigers have added an additional game against both the Furman Paladins and the Wofford Terriers to their future football schedules, FBSchedules.com has learned.

Copies of contracts for both games were obtained from Clemson University via a state Freedom of Information Act request.

Clemson will host Furman at Memorial Stadium in Clemson, South Carolina on Nov. 22, 2025. The Tigers will pay the Paladins a $500,000 guarantee for the game, according to a copy of the contract.

Clemson is scheduled to open the 2018 season against Furman on Sept. 1 and, unless a date change occurs, will also host the Paladins to open the 2022 season on Sept. 3.

The Wofford Terriers will visit Clemson’s “Death Valley” on Nov. 20, 2027 and will receive a $500,000 guarantee for the game, per the copy of the contract.

Clemson was previously scheduled to open the 2019 season against Wofford on Aug. 31, but that game has been moved to Nov. 2 that season, per a copy of an amendment to the game contract.

Clemson and Wofford are also set to meet at Memorial Stadium on Sept. 2, 2023.

Furman and Wofford are both members of the Southern Conference in the Football Championship Subsivision (FCS) and both are in the state of South Carolina. Furman is about 32 miles from Clemson, while Wofford is slightly further at around 66 miles away.

With the additional games added, Clemson’s pattern for scheduling FCS opponents is evident. The Tigers will play both schools every four seasons: Furman in 2018, 2022, and 2026, and Wofford in 2019, 2023, and 2027.

Clemson is also scheduled to play another in-state school, The Citadel, in 2020 and 2024. So look for the Tigers to add a game against the Bulldogs for the 2028 season.
