Cincinnati Bearcats to host Delaware State in 2012

The Cincinnati Bearcats will host the Delaware State Hornets in 2012, according to DSU’s 2012 football schedule released today.

The two schools will meet at Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati on September 15, 2012. It will be their first ever meeting.

Delaware State is a member of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in the FCS. They finished the 2011 season 3-8.

Cincinnati now has four non-conference games scheduled for 2012:

• 09/15 – Delaware State
• 09/29 – Virginia Tech (at Landover, MD)
• 10/06 – Miami (OH)
• 10/20 – at Toledo

The Bearcats will likely need a fifth game with the likely departure of West Virginia to the Big 12 for the 2012 season. A sixth non-conference game could also be scheduled if Cincinnati only has six conference games.
