The Central Connecticut Blue Devils have announced their 2020 football schedule, which features a game at Toledo.
Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) opens the 2020 season on Saturday, Sept. 5 with a Northeast Conference (NEC) contest at home at Arute Field in New Britain, Conn., against Wagner. CCSU then travels to take on Merrimack on Sept. 12 before returning home to host Valparaiso on Sept. 19, both of which are non-conference games.
A trip to take on Toledo looms on Sept. 26, which is their third or four non-conference games in 2020. CCSU returns home to host Duquesne the following week on Oct. 3.
Three consecutive road contests are up next for the Blue Devils. Central Connecticut visits Columbia on Oct. 10 for their final non-conference game, Saint Francis (Pa.) on Oct. 17, and Bryant on Oct. 24.
After an open date on Oct. 31, the Blue Devils host Sacred Heart in New Britain on Nov. 7 before traveling to face Robert Morris on Nov. 14.
Central Connecticut closes out their regular-season schedule on Nov. 21 with a home contest against Long Island.
The Blue Devils won the NEC championship in 2019 after finishing 7-0 in conference play (11-2 overall). CCSU advanced to the FCS Playoffs, but fell at UAlbany in the first round, 42-14.
