The California Golden Bears will host the UC Davis Aggies in 2022 and 2024, FBSchedules.com has learned.
Cal will host UC Davis at California Memorial Stadium in Berkeley on Sept. 3, 2022 and then two seasons later on Aug. 31, 2024, according to a copy of the contract obtained from the University of California, Berkeley, via a state open records request.
Per the contract, Cal will pay UC Davis a $650,000 guarantee for the game in 2022 and a $675,000 guarantee for the game in 2024.
Cal and UC Davis previously announced a game that is scheduled for Aug. 31, 2019. The Golden Bears will pay the Aggies a $625,000 guarantee for that contest.
In nine previous meetings between the two schools, Cal has emerged victorious in each contest. In their last matchup in 2010, their first in 71 years, Cal defeated UC Davis 52-3.
UC Davis is a member of the Big Sky Conference in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). The Aggies finished the 2017 season 5-6 overall and 3-5 in conference play.
