The New York Jets and the Cleveland Browns will meet in the 2023 NFL/Hall of Fame Game, the NFL has announced.
The preseason game will be played at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio, on Thursday, Aug. 3, 2023. The game will kickoff at 8:00pm ET/7:00pm CT and will be nationally televised.
The New York Jets and Cleveland Browns first met in 1970 and have squared off a total of 29 times, including a 31-30 Jets victory in their most recent meeting in 2022. Cleveland leads the overall series by just one game, 15-14.
The Jets are led by head coach Robert Saleh (11-23 overall), while the Browns are led by Kevin Stefanski (26-24 overall).
This will be the sixth Hall of Fame Game appearance for the Browns (1963, 1967, 1981, 1990, and 1999) and third for the Jets (1977 and 1992). The Browns are 2-3 in the annual preseason contest, while the Jets are 1-1 in their two appearances.
The complete 2023 NFL Preseason Schedule will likely be released in early May in conjunction with the release of the regular-season 2023 NFL Schedule.
