The Boise State Broncos and the Ole Miss Rebels will face off in the 2014 Chick-fil-A College Kickoff, the schools announced yesterday.
The game will be played on August 28, 2014 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. The two teams were originally scheduled to open the 2011 season in Oxford, but the game was moved so that Boise State could face Georgia in the 2011 Chick-fil-A College Kickoff.
“This is exactly the type of high profile, BCS-style match-up we look for in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game,” said Gary Stokan, Chick-fil-A Bowl president and CEO. “To be able to open the 2014 season with two nationally relevant football brands shows what this game has become in just a few short years.”
The game will be the first ever meeting between Boise State and Ole Miss, barring any post-season matchups prior to 2014.
The Chick-fil-A Bowl also announced yesterday that the 2011 College Kickoff will feature Boise State vs. Georgia.
Listed below is the Chick-fil-A College Kickoff schedule through 2014 (there are two games in 2012):
