The Arkansas Razorbacks have announced their 2011 football schedule, which features games against Texas A&M, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, South Carolina and Tennessee.
Arkansas will open the 2011 season on September 3 at Donald W. Reynolds Stadium in Fayetteville against Missouri State. The Razorbacks then play the first of two games in Little Rock against the New Mexico Lobos on September 10.
After hosting Troy in Fayetteville (09/17), Arkansas opens SEC play on the road against the Alabama Crimson Tide. The Hogs then travel to Arlington, Texas to face the Texas A&M Aggies at Cowboys Stadium (10/01).
On October 8, Arkansas welcomes the defending BCS Champion Auburn Tigers. The Tigers beat the Razorbacks 65-43 in 2010.
After an open date on October 15, Arkansas closes the season with six straight SEC games: at Ole Miss (10/22), at Vanderbilt (10/29), South Carolina (11/05), Tennessee (11/12), Mississippi State (11/19 – at Little Rock) and at LSU (11/26).
The annual battle for the Golden Boot with LSU has been moved back to the Friday after Thanksgiving for the 2011 and 2012 seasons.
Arkansas finished the 2010 season at 10-3 overall, ranked 12th in the USA Today and AP Poll and 8th in the BCS. They fell to Ohio State 31-26 in the 2011 AllState Sugar Bowl.
The SEC Championship Game will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.
