The Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions have announced their 2019 football schedule, which includes six home contests.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff’s 2019 slate kicks off with back-to-back games on the road, beginning on Saturday, Aug. 31 against the TCU Horned Frogs. UAPB then travels to take on the Alabama A&M Bulldogs on Sept. 7 in their Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) opener.
The Golden Lions open their home schedule at Golden Lion Stadium in Pine Bluff on Sept. 14 against the Langston Lions. UAPB then leaves town again, this time to face the Tennessee State Tigers on Sept. 21.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff then plays a string of four consecutive games at Golden Lion Stadium, beginning with the Southern Jaguars on Sept. 28. The following week on Oct. 5, the Lane Dragons visit for UAPB’s annual Homecoming.
The four game home-stand for the Golden Lions wraps up with visits from the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils on Oct. 12 and, after an open date, the Grambling State Tigers on Oct. 26.
Next, Arkansas-Pine Bluff plays consecutive games on the road, first at the Jackson State Tigers on Nov. 2 and then at the Prairie View A&M Panthers on Nov. 9.
After their second open date of the season, Arkansas-Pine Bluff closes out the 2019 regular-season at home on Nov. 23 against the Texas Southern Tigers.
The 2019 SWAC Championship Game is tentatively set for Saturday, Dec. 7 and will be played at a site to be announced.
