The Abilene Christian Wildcats have added the Arizona Christian Firestorm to their 2020 football schedule, Arizona Christian’s official website confirms.
News of the Abilene Christian-Arizona Christian contest was first reported by Sports360AZ last week.
Abilene Christian will host Arizona Christian at Wildcat Stadium in Abilene, Texas, on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020. The game will mark the second meeting between the two schools on the gridiron.
In their first matchup on the gridiron in 2019, Abilene Christian defeated Arizona Christian 66-14 at Wildcat Stadium.
Arizona Christian is a member of the Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The Firestorm finished the 2019 season 6-4 overall and 6-2 in SAC action.
Abilene Christian now has four scheduled non-conference opponents for the 2020 season and are looking to schedule more. The Wildcats are currently scheduled to open their slate on Saturday, Sept. 19 on the road in El Paso, Texas, against the UTEP Miners.
Other games currently on Abilene Christian’s schedule include a trip to West Point, N.Y., to take on the Army Black Knights on Oct. 3 and a home contest at Wildcat Stadium against the West Texas A&M Buffaloes on Oct. 17.
