Whether it’s total domination or weak scheduling, the following programs are enjoying a string of victories against each and every FBS opponent on their 2019 slate.
GEORGIA: 34-0
2019 schedule: at Vanderbilt, FCS Murray State, Arkansas State, Notre Dame, at Tennessee, South Carolina, Kentucky, vs. Florida (at Jacksonville, Fla.), Missouri, at Auburn, Texas A&M and at Georgia Tech.
Georgia has won two-straight games vs. Vanderbilt, Arkansas State, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Florida, Auburn, Texas A&M and Georgia Tech. It’s won four-straight over South Carolina, five-straight vs. Missouri and nine-straight vs. Kentucky.
Not only have the Bulldogs never lost to Arkansas State or Notre Dame, they’ve never fallen to a current Independent or Sun Belt member. The last time they lost to Texas A&M was 65 years ago, in 1954.
The most recent loss to a 2019 foe came two years ago, when then-No. 2 Georgia traveled to No. 10 Auburn and lost, 40-17. It managed to beat the same Tiger team three weeks later, 28-7, in the 2017 SEC title game.
BOISE STATE: 45-0
2019 schedule: vs. Florida State (at Jacksonville, Fla.), Marshall, FCS Portland State, Air Force, at UNLV, Hawaii, at BYU, at San Jose State, Wyoming, New Mexico, at Utah State and at Colorado State
Boise State has won two-straight vs. Air Force, Wyoming and New Mexico and three-straight against BYU and Utah State. It’s on a five-game streak vs. UNLV and a six-game run vs. Hawaii. That leaves the two longest streaks: an eight-game mark vs. Colorado State and a 13-game run vs. San Jose State. The Broncos have never lost to the Rams or Spartans.
The opener vs. Florida State is the first-ever meeting between the two schools. Boise State has only played Marshall once previously, in 1994, a 28-24 home victory.
The Broncos’ most recent loss to a 2019 opponent came in 2016, when they fell at both Wyoming (30-28) and Air Force (27-20).
CLEMSON: 49-0
2019 schedule: Georgia Tech, Texas A&M, at Syracuse, Charlotte, at North Carolina, Florida State, at Louisville, Boston College, FCS Wofford, at NC State, Wake Forest and at South Carolina
Clemson claimed a win the last time it played Syracuse, two-straight vs. Texas A&M and three-straight vs. North Carolina. It’s on a four-win run vs. Georgia Tech and Florida State and a five-win run vs. Louisville and South Carolina. That leaves a seven-game winning streak vs. NC State, an eight-game run vs. Boston College and a 10-win streak vs. Wake Forest.
The Tigers have never lost to Louisville and have never played Charlotte previously. Their most recent loss to a team on the 2019 slate came in 2017, when ranked No. 2 and 23-point favorites they visited unranked Syracuse and lost, 27-24.
OHIO STATE: 78-0
2019 schedule: Florida Atlantic, Cincinnati, at Indiana, Miami (Ohio), at Nebraska, Michigan State, at Northwestern, Wisconsin, Maryland, at Rutgers, Penn State and at Michigan
Ohio State has won two-straight over Penn State, three-straight vs. Michigan State and four-straight against Nebraska. It’s enjoying a five-game run vs. Miami (Ohio), Maryland and Rutgers and a six-game streak against Wisconsin. It’s won seven-straight vs. Northwestern and Michigan, 11-consecutive vs. Cincinnati and 23-straight vs. Indiana.
The meeting with Florida Atlantic is the first-ever between the two schools. The Buckeyes have never lost to current C-USA members (4-0) or Miami-Ohio (5-0). Their most recent loss to Cincinnati came 122-years ago, in 1897.
Ohio State’s last defeat to a 2019 opponent came in 2016, when at No. 2 in the AP and 19-point favorites it rolled into unranked Penn State and lost, 24-21.
Almost but not quite
ALABAMA: 60-1
2019 schedule: vs. Duke (at Atlanta, Ga.), New Mexico State, at South Carolina, Southern Miss, Ole Miss, at Texas A&M, Tennessee, Arkansas, LSU, at Mississippi State, FCS Western Carolina and at Auburn
The last time Alabama played South Carolina, in 2010, it fell 35-21 in Columbia, costing the Tide a spot on the perfect-streak honor roll.
Alabama won its last outing vs. Auburn, three-straight vs. Duke and Ole Miss, five-straight vs. Southern Miss, six-straight vs. Texas A&M, eight-straight vs. LSU, 11-straight vs. Arkansas and Mississippi State and 12-straight vs. Tennessee.
OKLAHOMA: 48-1
2019 schedule: Houston, FCS South Dakota, at UCLA, Texas Tech, at Kansas, vs. Texas (at Dallas, Texas), West Virginia, at Kansas State, Iowa State, at Baylor, TCU and at Oklahoma State
Oklahoma’s season opening loss vs. Houston in 2016 blemished what is otherwise a perfect streak vs. its 2019 schedule.
The Sooners won their most recent contests vs. UCLA, Texas and Iowa State, four-straight vs. Kansas State, Baylor and Oklahoma State, five-straight vs. TCU, seven-straight vs. Texas Tech and West Virginia and 14-straight vs. Kansas.
