2019 Sun Belt Championship Game: Matchup, tickets, time, and TV

The 2019 Sun Belt Championship Game is set with the Appalachian State Mountaineers hosting the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns. The game will be played on Saturday, Dec. 7 at Kidd Brewer Stadium in Boone, N.C.

The game is a rematch of the inaugural Sun Belt Championship Game that was played last season, also in Boone. Appalachian State won that contest 30-19.

Appalachian State and Louisiana also met earlier this season on Oct. 9 at Cajun Field in Lafayette, La., with the Mountaineers also emerging victorious in that game, 17-7.

Appalachian State clinched the Sun Belt East Division title after finishing 7-1 in conference play (11-1 overall), two games ahead of Georgia Southern. The Mountaineers have won three-consecutive Sun Belt titles.

The Ragin’ Cajuns clinched the West Division with a 7-1 record (10-2 overall), which was two games better than Arkansas State. Louisiana previously won the Sun Belt championship in 2005 and 2013.

Brett McMurphy of Stadium currently projects Appalachian State to play Louisiana Tech in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl and for the Ragin’ Cajuns to take on Western Michigan in the LendingTree Bowl.
