The 2019 Preseason AP Poll has been released and the Clemson Tigers are ranked first. Clemson received 52 first-place votes and 1,540 total points.
Clemson is also ranked first in the Coaches Poll that was released on Thursday, August 1.
The Alabama Crimson Tide, which fell to Clemson 44-16 in the College Football National Championship in January, come in at number two in the AP Poll. The Crimson Tide received 10 first place votes and 1,496 points overall.
Georgia, Oklahoma, and Ohio State round out the preseason AP Top 5.
The Big Ten leads all conferences with seven teams in the AP Top 25 poll. The SEC is second with six teams, followed by the Pac-12 with five teams in the Top 25. Listed below is the full conference breakdown:
