The 2017 Preseason Coaches Poll has been released and the Alabama Crimson Tide top the rankings for the second consecutive season. Alabama received 49 first place votes and 1,603 total points.
Ohio State comes in at number two. The Buckeyes received five first-place votes and 1,512 points overall. Florida State follows in third place with four first-place votes and 1,434 points.
Clemson, which is fifth behind USC, received seven first-place votes.
The SEC leads all conferences with six teams in the Top 25 poll, including one in the Top 10. The ACC and Big 12 are second with five teams, followed by the Big Ten, Pac-12, and The American. Listed below is the full conference breakdown:
