The 2012 ACC Football Championship Game is set with the Florida State Seminoles facing the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The game will be played on Saturday, Dec. 1 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC (7:45 p.m. ET, ESPN).
Florida State (10-2, 7-1 ACC) clinched the ACC Atlantic Division title with a 41-14 win over Maryland on Nov. 17. The Seminoles will be making their third appearance in the championship game, but haven’t won since beating Virginia in 2005.
Georgia Tech (6-6, 5-3 ACC) was awarded the Coastal Division title last week after Miami self-imposed a postseason ban due to an ongoing NCAA investigation. The Yellow Jackets will also be making their third appearance in the title game.
The Seminoles lead the overall series against the Yellow Jackets 12-9-1. In their last meeting in 2009, Georgia Tech beat Florida State 49-44 in Tallahassee.
