The 2010 ACC Championship football game is set with the Florida State Seminoles facing the Virginia Tech Hokies. The game will be held on Saturday, December 4 at 7:45 p.m. ET at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina (ESPN).
Florida State (9-3, 6-2 ACC) clinched the ACC Atlantic Division title with a win last week over Maryland. This will be the second appearance in the championship game for the Seminoles.
Virginia Tech (9-2, 7-0 ACC) is currently ranked 14th in the Coaches Poll. The Hokies clinched the ACC Coastal Division with a 31-17 victory over Miami (FL) on November 20. This is Tech’s fourth appearance in the championship game.
The game is a rematch of the 2005 ACC Championship game won by FSU 27-22. The Seminoles lead the overall series against Virginia Tech 22-11-1. The two schools last met in 2008 in Tallahassee, a 30-20 victory for Florida State.
